Obras Cemex Award 2024

The City of Arts project by Mallol Arquitectos has been awarded third prize in the international edition of the Cemex 2024 Works Award in the “Public Space” category.

The City of Arts is a key cultural project in Panama, designed to bring together various artistic disciplines in a complex of buildings, plazas and parks. This space seeks to strengthen national identity and encourage the harmonious growth of the arts, benefiting students, the cultural community and the city. The project is distributed in five buildings that house different artistic faculties and exhibition areas, designed with a focus on sustainability and a deep respect for the natural environment. In addition, it will have a public plaza for outdoor activities and the recovery of green areas.
