Located in the mountains of Mar Vista, this residential project consists of a main house and a guest house, conceived as a direct response to the landscape. Each angle and orientation was carefully designed based on the site’s views, shaping an architecture that adapts to the topography and celebrates its natural surroundings.

The elongated shape of the plot led to a predominantly horizontal layout, allowing each space to connect with a unique visual focal point and offering a rich spatial experience throughout the home.

The sloped roofs serve a dual purpose: functionally, they efficiently collect rainwater, which is stored and reused for garden irrigation; aesthetically, they echo the natural folds of the terrain, blending organically into the mountainous landscape. This gesture is not merely visual—it reflects the studio’s broader commitment to responsible, sustainable design.

Large windows run along the house, maximizing natural daylight and encouraging cross ventilation, significantly reducing the need for artificial lighting and climate control. The architecture does not impose itself, but rather becomes a seamless extension of the natural environment.

In both the main and guest houses, social areas are the heart of the design. From these shared spaces, the layout transitions into private bedrooms, establishing a natural flow between public and intimate zones, and promoting a functional, harmonious lifestyle in constant dialogue with nature.
