Paredes Pedrosa. Spanish National Architecture Award 2023

The 2023 National Architecture Prize has been awarded to architects Ángela García de Paredes and Ignacio García Pedrosa, founders of Paredes Pedrosa Arquitectos.

This award recognises their significant contribution to contemporary architecture in Spain. The jury valued their focus on integration with the environment, as is the case in works such as the Lugo Auditorium and the Ceuta Library.

The public nature of their projects, which foster social cohesion, was also highlighted. The solidity of their architecture and their consistent track record for more than 30 years underline their relevance in the Spanish architectural field, making them a model for future generations of architects.
